Lawrence Van Blerkom and Cecilia Van Blerkom bought a three bedroom, 2.5-bath condo at 129 W. 20th St. in Chelsea from Ronald S. Pompei for $2.3 million on Nov. 12.

Pompei also paid $2.3 million for Unit #4B in January 2007. The 2,150-sqare-foot property is part of the Chelsea Quarter condo development, which was built in 1905.

Mr. Van Blerkom serves as the vice president at L-3 Communications.

He previously was the company's assistant vice president and corporate tax director. He was also a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and an associate at Deloitte & Touche.

He received his J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law, his master of laws degree from the New York University School of Law, and his B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 226 condo sales in Chelsea during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $788,750.
