Asian artist sells 1BD condo in Murray Hill

Medium be3a11ab9788d542d581b3d46f74efa1 Youn Hee Paik sold a one-bedroom, one-bath condo at 438 W. 37th St. in Murray Hill to Kevin Hatfield for $880,000 on Oct. 5.

The 1,261-square-foot Unit #10E is one of the 52 units in the 13-story The Glass Farmhouse condominium development.

Paik is a Korean-born artist who lives and works in New York and San Francisco.

She began exhibiting her work in the 1970s and has had pieces featured in major art shows in California, Arizona, South Carolina, Mexico City and Seoul, South Korea.

She received her B.F.A. from Seoul National University, and her M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 139 home sales in Murray Hill during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $615,000.
