Surgeon nets $3.3M home in Murray Hill

Raja Flores and Kathryn Flores bought a 4,300-square-foot home at 152 E. 38th St. in Murray Hill from Elizabeth E. Quadracci for $3.3 million on Nov. 16.

The home was built in 1858 and restored in the 1920s. The 4,300-square-foot home is located in Murray Hill.

Dr. Flores is a professor of cardiothoracic surgery and the chief of thoracic surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He is also an associate attending surgeon at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and an associate professor of cardiothoracic surgery at Cornell University Medical College.

He earned his B.A. in biochemistry at New York University and his M.D. at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In addition, he also holds an M.S. in biostatistics from Columbia University. He completed his general surgery residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 140 home sales in Murray Hill during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1,078,750.
