Research director scores in University District

Medium c12d032fa76f9078ebfd8f37ff49c35c Fergus P. Quigley bought a one-bedroom, one-bath home at 5121 N.E. 55th St. in Seattle's University District from the Wilcoxon Marital Trust for $456,000 on Sept. 18.

The 1,060-square-foot home was built in 1947 in the Laguna Vista subdivision.

Quigley is director of transponder development at Calypso Medical, a Seattle-headquartered medical device company that develops radiation therapy for cancer treatment.

He previously worked at Boston Scientific, where he was a research and development manager and principal research and development engineer.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 379 sales in Seattle's University District during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $580,000.
