Jonathan M. Bensky and Sandra T. Bensky bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 3004 25th Ave. W. in Seattle from Donald C. Thomson and Jeffrey M. Koch for $640,000 on Nov. 19.

The 2,630-square-foot two-story house, which was built in 1991, is in the neighborhood of Magnolia.

Mr. Bensky is senior commercial officer for the United States Mission. He has served as minister counselor for commercial affairs for the U.S. mission to the European Union.

He was assigned to different countries as senior commercial officer, including Kuala Lumpur, Manila, New Delhi, Singapore and Brussels.

There were 3,625 home sales in Seattle in 2008, with a median sales price of $410,000.
