Newspaper architecture critic sells in Issaquah

Medium mr. cheek Lawrence W. Cheek and Patricia A. Cheek sold a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 3606 254th Ave. S.E. in Issaquah to Jianhua Li and Meng Yang for $520,000 April 10.

The Cheeks paid $225,837 for the property on Feb. 1996.

The 2,260-square-foot home was built in 1989.

Mr. Cheek is an architecture critic at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, a daily newspaper.

He has taught nonfiction writing in the educational outreach department at the University of Washington and for the Whidbey Island Writers Association. He has worked as a freelance writer in Arizona and authored several books and publications, including A.D. 1250: Ancient Peoples of the Southwest, America West and American Heritage.

He is an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects.

There were 257 sales in Issaquah in 2008, with a median sales price of $440,000.
