Julia R. Meade and Charles Meade bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 4 Bacon Court in Bronxville from Alden Toevs for $1.1 million on Oct. 2.

Toevses paid $920,000 for the property in June 2004. The 2,170-square-foot house was built in 1932 in the Bronxville West neighborhood.

Ms. Meade has been a senior associate in the project-finance group of Barclays Bank in New York.

She received her bachelor's degree from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Meade has been an institutional-bond salesman at Morgan Stanley in New York.

He graduated from Adelphi University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 19 sales in Bronxville during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.45 million.
