Guidance counselor takes White Plains 3BD

Aviva Seiden and Steven D. Seiden bought a three-bedroom, one-bath home at 92 Stratford Ave. in White Plains from Ruth A. McDonald for $462,500 on Dec. 7.

The 1,483-square-foot house was built in 1928 in the Ridgemway/Maple Moor neighborhood.

Ms. Seiden is a guidance counselor in New York.

Previously, she was a guidance counselor at Lawrence High School, unit head at JCC in Manhattan, a director at Schechter Westchester Summer Academy, an assistant teacher at Manhattan Day School, and division head-summer at Camp Ramah in Berkshires.

She received her bachelor's degree in human development from the Binghamton University School of Education and Human Development and her master's degree in counseling and personnel services from Fordham University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 179 home sales in White Plains during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $580,000.
