University exec takes 3BD in Near Northeast

Medium 89e47d76f09a73b225748b536283c81e Paul A. Drehoff bought a three-bedroom, one-bath home at 1101 6th St. N.E. in Washington from Rainbow Properties LLC for $747,000 on Sept. 21.

The 1,718-square-foot house was built in 1900 in the Near Northeast neighborhood.

Drehoff is vice president for institutional advancement at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C.

He previously was assistant vice president at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, was an affiliate instructor at Loyola College in the Communications Department, worked for Medstar Health and was director of public relations at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore and the YWCA of Greater Baltimore.

He received his bachelor's degree in mass communication from Towson University and his master's degree in marketing from Johns Hopkins University. He also holds a management development program certificate from Harvard University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 4,143 home sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
