Attorney couple snags 4BD for $1.085M

Medium 8ac7bda0b9b05ea7eb41564329d814a7 Charles Stuart Beene and Amanda L. Major bought a four-bedroom, six-bath home at 1911 13th St. N.W. in Washington from Barry Homes Associates Limited Partnership for $1.085 million on Sept. 15.

The 4,118-square-foot house was built in 1900 in the neighborhood of Cardozo/Shaw.

Beene is a senior associate in the litigation and controversy department at the legal firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP (WilmerHale).

He received a B.A. from the University of the South (1999), and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center (2004).

Major also is a senior associate in the litigation and controversy department at WilmerHale.

She holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University (2001), and a J.D. from Stanford Law School (2004).

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 4,143 home sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
