Communications exec, company owner sells in Washington

Medium 427a380340a7dd7b61a47f09104e95f7 Rick Bielke and Samantha Lasky sold a two-bedroom, one-bath home at 721 Fern Place N.W. in Washington to Susan Cook for $485,000 on Sept. 17.

Bielke and Lasky acquired the house for $344,000 in June 2004. The 1,505-square-foot house in the Brightwood neighborhood was built in 1927.

Bielke is a communications director for the Public Campaign Action Fund.

He attended Auburn University.

Lasky is the owner for The SJL Group, a non-profit management consultant.

She previously was a consultant at Kauffman Foundation, College Summit and Families USA. She also was a senior account executive at Ketchum and a database coordinator at Bill Bradley for President. Before that, she was a grassroots coordinator at Baxter Healthcare Corp. and a biomaterials coordinator at AdvaMed. She also was a campaign staffer for Participation 2000.

She attended the University of Pittsburg and the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

According to, there were 4,143 sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
