Charleston grad couple leaves Le Droit Park

Medium 17d4d4674967e68ab5bcd480a691335b Richard B. Duwel and Sarah Goetzman Duwel sold a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 340 Elm St. N.W. in Washington to Mahvish S. Khan and Nathanael M. Lynn for $439,900 on Sept. 22.

Duwel and Goetzman paid $400,000 for the property in March 2007. The 1,566-square-foot house was built in 1906 in the Le Droit Park neighborhood.

Mr. Duwel has been employed by Morgan Stanley - Washington.

He attended the College of Charleston and Trinity College in D.C.

Mrs. Duwel has been with ConTemporary Nursing Solutions Inc. at Washington Hospital Center and Sibley Memorial Hospital.

She received her B.A. in biology and Studio Arts from the College of Charleston and her B.S.N. from the Medical University of South Carolina. She also holds an M.A. in art therapy and counseling from George Washington University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 4,155 home sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
