Senator's staff member grabs Langdon 3BD

Medium d0ec0e129f7439629dec748ac80f0b6e Tamar Magarik Haro and Steven Michael Haro bought a three-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 2020 Douglas St. N.E. in Washington from Audra B. Prout and Michael J. Prout for $464,000 on Sept. 22.

The Prouts paid $479,000 for the property in June 2004. The 1,886-square-foot house was built in 1929 in the Langdon neighborhood.

Ms. Haro has been a professional staff member for Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT) on the Subcommittee on Children and Families of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee since May of 2006.

Prior to working for Senator Dodd, she worked for Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) as a health Legislative Assistant for five years. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and Russian from Washington University in St. Louis in 1999.

Mr. Prout has been an assistant director for Judicial Security at U.S. Marshals Service since 2008. Prior to that, he held the deputy assistant director, assistant director and chief deputy U.S. Marshal positions.

He attended Marist College and Seton Hall Preparatory School.

Ms. Prout has been a senior executive recruiter at Connex2 LLC, an executive search firm headquartered in Washington D.C.

According to, there were 4,155 home sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
