Washington state representative sells Capitol Hill 5BD

Medium 3b3a3df27a05535a6ce86f239122f60c Roger E. Goodman and Liv Michelle Grohn sold a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 314 A St. N.E. in Washington, D.C. to Steven G. Harkabus and Gerald T. McDonald for $769,000 on Sept. 1.

The 2,016-square-foot house was built in 1900 in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill.

Goodman is a Democratic member of the Washington State House of Representatives, representing the 45th district since 2006.

He previously was chief of staff for the U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher from 1993 to1995, as legislative director and counsel for the Rep. Bob Wise from 1989 to 1993, as legal staff for the Democratic National Committee in 1988, and as an attorney at Tillinghast, Collins and Graham from 1986 to 1988.

He received an A.B. from Dartmouth College (1983), a J.D. from George Washington University's School of Law (1986), and an M.P.A. from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government (1998).

Harkabus is a senior systems consultant at Northrop Grumman.

He previously was a systems analyst at PRC.

He graduated from James Madison University and American University's Kogod School of Business.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 100 home sales in Capitol Hill in 2008, with a median sales price of $763,500.
