Law firm associate buys 16th Street Heights 4BD

Medium ea0a013f6896c631659fb651a10ed84f Carl and Blythe Emigholz bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 4614 15th St. N.W. in Washington from Sirak Solomon for $640,000 on Sept. 30.

Solomon paid $430,000 for the property in Sept. 2003. The 1,866-square-foot house was built in 1919 in the 16th Street Heights neighborhood.

Mr. Emigholz is an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, a provider of legal advisory services to banking and finance, energy, federal agencies, private equity and real estate sectors.

He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, his M.A. from George Washington University and his J.D. from the Rutgers University School of Law - Newark.

Solomon has been a staff attorney at WilmerHale's securities department, as well as a member of the securities litigation and enforcement practice groups.

Previously, he was a contract attorney with firms in the Washington, D.C. area. Earlier, he ran his own private practice focusing on small business and immigration matters.

He received his bachelor's degree from Georgia State University and his J.D. from the Howard University School of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,187 home sales in Washington in the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $375,000.
