Investment banking exec buys 6BD of former Johns Hopkins prof

Medium d0d7c83c9a121226cb85012553cd545d Jose A. Diaz-Asper bought a six-bedroom, three-bath home at 2811 35th St. N.W. in Washington from Christopher Ronald Cummings, Jonathan Benton Cummings, Susan Sturgis Cummings and the estate of Milton Curtis Cummings for $800,000 on Oct. 8.

The 2,400-square-foot house was built in 1923 in the neighborhood of Observatory Circle.

Diaz-Asper is a lawyer and is the owner and president of ATC Equity & Mortgage Inc., an investment banking firm.

He graduated from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business in 1965.

Milton Cummings was a scholar of American government and a professor of political science at Johns Hopkins for nearly 40 years.

He received his bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College (1954), a degree in politics from Oxford University (1956), and his doctorate in political science from Harvard University (1960).
