White House freelance photographer buys 16th Street Heights 5BD

Medium e6c08855ec70dc5cb80da6bd6f5a329a Brendan and Elizabeth Hoffman bought a five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 1011 Webster St. N.W. in Washington, D.C. from William Argueta, Deborah Guevara, Maritza Guevara, Jose Santos Reyes and Luis Reyes for $390,000 on Oct. 7.

The 1,978-square-foot house sold for $660,000 in Nov. 2005. It was built in 1916 in the neighborhood of 16th Street Heights.

Mr. Hoffman is a freelance photographer. He has covered Capitol Hill and the White House for a variety of clients, and also has undertaken projects in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Peru and Mexico. His photographs have appeared in Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, der Spiegel, Financial Times and the International Herald Tribune, and a number of other outlets. He has also written as a freelancer for the Christian Science Monitor.

He received a B.A. in art and art history from the College of William & Mary. He is a member of the White House News Photographers Association.
