FDIC capital markets specialist buys 3BD from lawyer

Medium a8adfabdb23294175f0e123bdc98cce6 Karl and Shelby Reitz bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 1318 N. Carolina Ave. N.E. in Washington D.C. from Jonathan Davidson and Erin W. Sheehy for $780,000 on Oct. 9.

Davidson and Sheehy paid $545,500 for the 1,616-square-foot house in Nov. 2003. It was built in 1912 in the Capitol Hill Historic District subdivision in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill North.

Mr. Reitz is a capital markets specialist at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., an independent agency created by the Congress to maintain stability and public confidence in the nation's financial system.

He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis (2003).

Sheehy is an associate lawyer at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. She focuses on securities litigation, enforcement and white collar criminal defense.

She received a B.A. from Brown University (1993) and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center (2001).
