Wachovia Bank exec scores in Near Northeast

Medium 6d99c0f378204f86f5dcb2c574820c4a Christopher Messina, Cynthia H. Gray and Steven Wegner bought a two-bedroom, two-bath home at 1018 Ninth St. N.E. in Washington, D.C. from Jerry Bouchard for $385,000 on Oct. 6.

Bouchard paid $250,000 for the property in July 2009. The 1,234-square-foot house in the Near Northeast neighborhood was built in 1954.

Messina is vice president and wealth management relationship manager at Wachovia Bank.

Prior to joining Wachovia Bank, he was a regional marketing director at Lincoln Financial Distributors. Before that, he was vice president and financial consultant at Virginia Commerce Bank. He also was a regional vice president at MetLife Investors.

He received his B.S. from George Mason University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,204 sales in Washington, D.C. during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $375,000.
