Risk management specialist opts for Kalorama 5BD

Medium d6f2a0c5ee22b950ebdfd3c007abe74c Clara Elena Brillembourg and George T. Chopivsky, III, bought a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 1919 23rd St. N.W. in Washington, D.C. from Brian Huchro for $1.8125 million on Oct. 16.

Huchro bought the property for $2.06 million in Sept. 2008. The 4,683-square-foot house was built in 1916 in the neighborhood of Kalorama.

Brillembourg is an associate in the D.C. office of Foley Hoag LLP, where she is a risk management specialist.

She previously was a junior professional associate with the World Bank's environment department and African human development department. Prior to joining Foley Hoag, she was an associate for two global law firms.

She received her B.A. from Harvard in 2001 and her J.D. from Yale Law School in 2006.

Chopivsky is vice president of Simpson Housing, a real estate company in Denver. He works in D.C. to oversee the company operations in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Brillembourg and Chopivsky were married in June in Easton, Md.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,205 home sales in Washington, D.C. during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $374,700.
