Rathinasamy is a project manager in the District of Columbia Public Schools Office of the Chancellor.

Prior to that, she was associate director of programs at Envision EMI and was team leader & corps member at AmeriCorps*NCCC.

She earned her bachelor's degree from The College of William and Mary and her degree in law from the University of Virginia School of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,205 home sales in Washington, D.C. during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $374,700.
