Engineering professor buys Bethesda 4BD

Medium 5bbee4b3b56c18407b83aa01766c2a45 Ankur Srivastava and Ruchika Verma bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 9100 Friars Road in Bethesda from Julienne and Moussa Barry for $600,000 on Oct. 9.

The Barrys paid $552,000 for the property in April 2004. The 2,501-square-foot house was built in 1963 in the Bethesda North of Wilson Lane neighborhood.

Srivastava is an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Maryland-College Park.

He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, his master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Northwestern University and his Ph.D. in computer science from UCLA.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 769 home sales in Bethesda during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $719,000.
