Department of State exec buys Silver Spring 3BD

Medium 22a69872897ad52e01789d762adb78a3 Elizabeth and Michael Kanick bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 102 Lynnmoor Dr. in Silver Spring from Mary Stephanie Bower for $400,000 on Oct. 13.

The 1,386-square-foot house was built in 1950 in the Silver Spring East of Colesville Rd. neighborhood.

Ms. Kanick is the executive director of the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO with the U.S. Department of State. Prior to that, she was senior advisor at the U.S. Department of State and an administrative director for two U.S. Senators.

She attended the State University of New York-Stony Brook.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 531 home sales in Silver Spring during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $392,000.
