Former ACLU counsel buys home in Silver Spring

Medium 8b5b171c7f10395f6c7578a54a8afb5e Gregory T. Nojeim and Wanda I. Resto bought a three-bath home at 9415 Thornhill Road in Silver Spring for $767,500 from Dr. Crystal L. Mackall and Dr. Catherine L. Salem on Oct. 22.

The 2,425-square-foot house was built in 1946 in the Silver Spring West of Colesville Road neighborhood.

Nojeim is a senior counsel at the Center for Democracy & Technology. He was a legislative counsel at the American Civil Liberties Union for five years before joining CDT.

He graduated from the University of Rochester for a degree in political science and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia.

Dr. Salem is a radiation oncologist at Associates in Radiation Medicine and has been in practice for 21 years.

She received her M.D. from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.

Dr. Mackall serves as chief of the pediatric oncology branch at the National Cancer Institute.

She completed a bachelor's degree and received her M.D. from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 646 home sales in Silver Spring during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $380,000.
