Dr. Havinder Pabla and Devinder K. Pabla bought a home at 9119 River Road in Potomac from Ilze and John Vipulis for $1.2 million on Oct. 23.

The house was built in the Potomac South of Democracy Blvd. neighborhood.

Dr. Pabla is an orthopedic surgeon in Laurel.

He earned his medical degree from the Punjabi University Government Medical College in India. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Howard University Hospital and in general surgery at Providence Hospital.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 418 home sales in Potomac during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $770,000.
