Susan and Joseph Barloon bought a five-bedroom, five-bath home at 5000 Rockmere Court in Bethesda from Mary Kathleen Cuneo for $1.17 million on Oct. 27.

The 3,887-square-foot house was built in 1958 in the Bethesda South of Wilson Lane neighborhood.

Mr. Barloon is a partner specializing in civil and criminal litigation and government enforcement at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He is the co-leader of the firm's consumer financial services litigation and enforcement practice.

He received his bachelor's degree from Harvard College (1989) and his law degree from Georgetown University (1996).

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 888 home sales in Bethesda during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $715,000.
