Lawyer takes American University Park 3BD

Fernando Amarillas and Claire N. Rajan bought a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 4411 Harrison St. N.W. in American University Park from Maria Jose DeReyes and Gaston Reyes for $500,000 on Aug. 25.

The 1,331 square-foot house was built in 1953.

Rajan is a lawyer at Federal Election Commission, where she is a counsel to Commissioner Ellen Weintraub. Previously, she was a constitutional law teacher at Marshall-Bernnan Program.

She received her B.A. in political science (international relations) from the University of California and completed her law degree at American University, Washington College of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 33 home sales in American University Park during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $775,000.
