Timothy J. Gaffaney and Josephine O. Lewis sold a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 4505 Harrison St. N.W. in American University Park to Laura L. McClure for $729,000 on Nov. 2.

Gaffaney and Lewis paid $433,200 for the home in April 2002. The 1,200-square-foot house was built in 1936.

Gaffaney is a research director at the U.S. Senate Democratic Policy Committee.

He received both his Ph.D. in political science and a B.A. in religion from the University of California-Los Angeles.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 29 home sales in American University Park during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $793,000.
