Bank associate acquires 3BD in Brightwood

Medium f4ec2e566aabea12dc44ee5722fb766a Malaika Culverwell and Nicholas Masson bought a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 812 Fern Place N.W. in Brightwood for $439,900 from Marie E. Kalesnik Koczela and Jeffrey L. Koczela on Nov. 12.

The 1,434-square-foot house was built in 1923.

Culverwell works in corporate finance for industries at Inter American Development Bank. Prior to that, she was an economic development director at Learning and Skills Council. She has also served as a private sector adviser at DFID Department for International Development.

Culverwell attended the University of British Columbia and the University of Cambridge.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 59 home sales in Brightwood during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $382,500.
