Senior consultant gets Eckington home

Medium 817f5b2802edf00534ed18b993fbc485 Stefan R. Osborne bought a two-bedroom, one-bath townhome at 303 Seaton Place N.E. in Washington D.C. from Eckington Row LLC for $242,000 on Oct. 2.

Eckington Row LLC paid $550,000 for the property in March 2007. The townhome measures 2,492 square feet and is part of the Eckington neighborhood.

Osborne has been a senior consultant at the D.C. office of Informa Economics Inc., a company that offers broad-based agricultural and product market research, analysis, evaluation and consulting services.

He previously worked at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. He also worked with USDA's Economic Research Service.

Osborne received a bachelor's degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Dayton and from Indiana University, respectively.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 9,965 sales in Washington, D.C. in 2008, with a median sales price of $399,900.
