The Dengs acquired the property for $395,000 in Dec. 2008. The 2,454-square-foot house, which was built in 1998, is in the Wildwood Northeast neighborhood. Linda Arnold of Coldwell Banker Gundaker is the listing agent for the home.

Deng has been a research associate in the department of plant and soil science of Alabama A&M University. She has an expertise in the areas of bioinformatics, computer application in biodata analysis, plant molecular cytobiology, crop gene transformation and cotton genetic improvement.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 419 sales in Wildwood in 2008, with a median price of $315,000.
