Ex-Cardinal sells Wildwood 5BD

Craig H. Paquette and his wife, Jessica, sold a five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 1500 Garden Valley Dr. in Oak Ridge Trails to Garden 1500 Valley Trust for $405,000 on Dec. 16.

The Paquettes paid $502,615 for the property in Nov. 2000, the same year it was built.

The house is 3,996-square-foot in size.

Mr. Paquette is a professional baseball player who spent 11 years in the major league with the Oakland Athletics, Kansas City Royals, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers.

The Long Beach, Calif. native was drafted by Oakland in the eighth round of the 1989 MLB Draft. After three mediocre seasons with the A's, Paquette broke out with the Royals in 1996, hitting 22 home runs to go along with 67 RBI in a career-high 429 at-bats. He spent one more year with the Royals and one with the Mets before joining the Cardinals in 1999.

While he was normally a utility player with St. Louis between 1999 and 2001, Paquette did manage to hit for his highest average (.287 in 1999) and play in his most games (134 in 2000). His final major league season was 2003 with the Tigers, in which he only played 11 games.

He finished his career with 99 home runs and 377 RBI in 814 games.
