John and Mary Herbst bought a five-bedroom, five-bath home at 16 Persimmon Lane in Wildwood from SunTrust Mortgage Inc. for $1.125 million on Sept. 21.

The 6,296-square-foot house in the Wildwood Southeast neighborhood was built in 2006.

Mr. Herbst serves as president of Beckon Inc. USA, a Kirkwood-based firm which offers machine repair and rebuilding.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 706 home sales in Wildwood in 2008, with a median sales price of $355,000.
