St. Louis Blues exec sells University City home

Medium 7ec37b844bebb179776e8c577db9e6ba Peter C. McLoughlin sold a home at 7247 Princeton Ave. in University City to Douglas B. Dowd for $423,000 on Nov. 30.

McLoughlin bought the property for $449,000 in April 2004. The 2,861-square-foot house was built in 1946 in the University City Central neighborhood.

McLoughlin is the chief executive officer of St. Louis Blues Enterprises. He was named to the position in 2006. Previously, he worked at Anheuser-Busch as the vice president of corporate media and he spent more than six years at NBC Sports.

He is a 1979 graduate of Harvard University.

Dowd is an illustrator and the creator of the "Sam the Dog" cartoon strip. He is also a professor at the Washington University School of Art.

He graduated from Kenyon College in 1983.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 633 home sales in University City during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $142,000.
