Lawn maintenance company owner buys Chesterfield 5BD

Medium 1d5dca88fad82abf883c06da302ea1e2 Maurice Dowell and his wife, Donna, bought a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 1533 Pacland Place in Chesterfield from David C. Potter and his wife, Jane, for $845,000 on Sept. 14.

The Potters paid $651,000 for the property in April 2002. The 4,876-square-foot home in the South of 64 neighborhood was built in 1986.

Mr. Dowell is the owner and founder of Dowco Enterprises Inc., a full service lawn maintenance provider based in Chesterfield. Prior to forming the company in 1978, he worked in sales at Sears, Roebuck and Co. He was also a training manager at Arthur Treachers Fish and Chips.

He attended St. Louis Community College.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 823 sales in Chesterfield in 2008, with a median sales price of $330,000.
