Attorney acquires 3BD in Oak Forest/Garden Oaks

James Ray Alston and his wife, Elba, acquired a three-bedroom, four-bath home at 1320 Chippendale Road in Oak Forest/Garden Oaks from Hogar Builders LLC on Nov. 12.

The 4,188-square-foot home in the Oak Forest subdivision was built in 1949. It is valued at $271,200.

Mr. Alston is an attorney at the Law Offices of Nathan Mays. He previously was an assistant U.S. attorney in Houston. Prior to that, he worked at the Harris County District Attorney's Office, where he was assigned to the child abuse division and to the major fraud division.

After graduating from Lamar University with a B.S. degree in psychology, he completed his master's degree in clinical social work at Tulane University. He then pursued a law degree at the Loyola University School of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 708 home sales in Oak Forest/Garden Oaks during the past 12 months.
