You too can get the showroom shine of Port Lavaca Chevrolet

It might be easy for people to love the scores of new features introduced on vehicles recently, but one aspect has been an enduring marvel for decades for the customers of Port Lavaca Chevrolet. The sleek, clean and shiny look of the cars, as they roll of the lot, continues to impress.

Residents of Port Lavaca are well aware that their hometown is awash in industry. Such manufacturing facilities as Alcoa, DuPont and Formosa Plastics employ many of the city's residents, but heavy industry, and the occasional heavy wind, could create some dirty cars.

It is not hard to maintain that showroom-fresh look for years to come, according to Scott Wideman, the 13-year veteran of Port Lavaca Chevrolet and their director of marketing.

“All of our cars on the lots are detailed,” said Wideman. “I would recommend getting your car detailed once per year. In the meantime you can apply some extra clear coat, such as Mop & Glo. This will help from the rain beading on the surface and cause stains and, later, dust to settle in.”

For consumers looking for a used car and worried that the previous owner did not maintain the vehicle, Wideman says to fear not.

“I have never seen a vehicle we can not fix up,” he said.

Port Lavaca Chevrolet, part of the Port Lavaca Auto Group, is located at 1801 Highway 35 S. They are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
