Former inspector general trades 2BD in Silver Lake

Medium 14b428f6a191fb63d9c13e03850dff0d Laura N. Chick sold a two-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 2357 Kenilworth Ave. in Silver Lake to Colin Chambers and Kimberly Lerner for $815,000 on Dec. 1.

Chick paid $625,000 for the property in May 2002. The 1,778-square-foot house was built in 1949.

Ms. Chick most recently served as California's inspector general of the American Recovery Act Funds. She has been appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to the Board of Governors for the California State Bar. Prior to that, she was the 17th city controller in Los Angeles, where she served as the chief auditor and chief accountant of the city.

She obtained a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California-Los Angeles and a master's degree in social work from the University of Southern California.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 197 home sales in Silver Lake during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $528,500.
