Film director moves into Hollywood 2BD

Medium 2c6c858387ff4357c0d91119980483c0 Monte Hellman bought a two-bedroom, two-bath home at 8588 Appian Way in Hollywood from Max Palevsky for $581,500 on Dec. 2.

The 1,243-square-foot house was built in 1960.

Mr. Hellman is a film director, producer, and film editor. Some of his works include Road to Nowhere, Iguana, The Greatest and his most critically acclaimed film to date, Two-Lane Blacktop. He also teaches at the California Institute of the Arts.

He studied drama at Stanford University and film at the University of California-Los Angeles.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 620 home sales in Hollywood during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $765,000.
