Volleyball coaches take Santa Clarita 5BD

Medium d994461a52a3066cafa6c6e39964f025 Anthony Michael Ker, Walter Irwin Ker and Mary Catherine Ker bought a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 23421 Via Amado in Santa Clarita from the National Bank of California for $425,000 on Dec. 2.

The 2,336-square-foot house was built in 1967.

Anthony Ker is an assistant coach of the men's volleyball team of California State University at Bakersfield. He has also coached with the Manhattan Beach Surf and with the Legacy Volleyball Club.

He earned a degree in sociology from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Walter Ker is a veteran club volleyball coach who serves as the coaching director of Legacy Volleyball Club. He also works as a mortgage broker in the Santa Clarita Valley. Most recently, he worked as an assistant coach for the University of California-Los Angeles men's team. Earlier, he coached the men's program at the California State University at Northridge, winning three national championships.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 2,152 home sales in Santa Clarita during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $326,000.
