School resource specialist, auto exec get Long Beach 3BD

Medium 251b53709a2504ad0d04da1288c69304 Emily G. Farrier and her husband, Joseph, bought a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 816 Roswell Ave. in Long Beach from Ella J. DeWees for $480,000 on Dec. 3.

Ms. Farrier is the founder, educator and a mentor at My Juku, LLC. She is also a resource specialist at Long Beach Unified School District. She previously was a care coordinator for the Wraparound Program at Olive Crest.

She received an M.S. in special education from National University and a B.S. in psychology from Texas A&M University.

Mr. Farrier is program manager at Fisker Automotive, an automaker developing premium plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Prior to that, he served as a program manager at Zodiac Aerospace, an aeronautical firm developing airships and airplanes. He has also been a chief process engineer and internal consultant at Raytheon Company.

He attended the University of Southern California and Texas A&M University.
