Barak Mevorak bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 14917 Valley Vista Blvd. in Sherman Oaks from Douglas Burgoyne MacMullen, Jr. for $641,500 on Dec. 7.

The 1,581-square-foot house was built in 1926.

Dr. Mevorak is the CEO of Advanced Medical Reviews Inc., an integrated medical review company. He is also a private practitioner in Los Angeles. Previously, he served as a medical doctor with L.A. Sports Rehab and as a medical director at Care Center Rehabilitation & Pain Management.

He obtained his M.D. from St. George's University and completed his clinical training in internal medicine and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of California-Los Angeles, where he received his bachelor's degree in physiology. He also completed a post-baccalaureate training, with an emphasis in public health, at Harvard University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 438 home sales in Sherman Oaks during the last 12 months, with a median sales price of $599,000.
