Character sculptor dishes 3BD in West Covina

Medium 8255d55b381aeca87db607b47ea02cad David Kracov sold a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 649 N. Morada Ave. in West Covina to Thomas and Tammy Lanier for $410,000 on Dec. 7.

Kracov paid $529,000 for the property in Oct. 2007. The 1,600-square-foot house was built in 1954.

Mr. Kracov is the exclusive licensed sculptor of Warner Bros. Looney Tunes, Hanna-Barbera, Betty Boop, Peanuts and Tim Burton's Corpse Bride characters. Prior to becoming a sculptor, he worked as an animator for several special effects studios including Disney Animation, Don Bluth Animation and Rich Animation.

He earned his degrees in animation, special effects, and illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design.

According to, there have been 793 home sales in West Covina during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $349,000.
