Ms. Spira bought the property for $1.45 million in March 2000. The 3,426-square-foot house was built in 1999.

Spira is an author, dating coach, and cyber-dating expert. She has a dating column on DateDaily.com and a weekly radio show on BlogTalkRadio.

Her book, The Perils of Cyber-Dating was released in February and became a bestseller on Amazon.com. She began her career as a radio show host and voice-over announcer at WAAL in Binghamton, N.Y.

She received her bachelor's in television/radio from Ithaca College in New York.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 225 home sales in Venice in 2008, with median sales price $903,500.
