James Franco asking $3.625M in Hollywood

Medium 6bf19b076a2a62edf23acbc477b221c4 Actor James Franco has listed for sale his three bedroom, four bath at 8222 N. Marmont Lane in Hollywood for the asking price of $3.625 million.

Franco paid $2.325 million for the 4,000-square-foot home in May 2006.

Deedee Howard of Prudential California Realty is the listing agent for the property.

Franco, 31, has an acting career dating back to the late 1990s, but is likely best known as Harry Osborn, the nemesis and friend to Peter Parker in the wildly successful Spider Man trilogy. He also earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role in the 2008 stoner romp Pineapple Express, and received critical acclaim for his role as the former lover of Harvey Milk in the Oscar-winning 2008 biopic Milk. Other Franco films include Tristan + Isolde, The Company and Flyboys.

He also starred on the short-lived television cult classic "Freaks and Geeks" from 1999-2000, where he first teamed with director and screenwriter Judd Apatow and cast mate Seth Rogen. He also earned a Golden Globe for his portrayal in the title role of the 2001 television biopic "James Dean."

Franco is slated to return to the biopic genre next year, when he stars as famous beat poet Allen Ginsburg in the film Howl.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 470 home sales in Hollywood during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $700,000.
