Steven and Marci Memberg bought a 3.5-bath home at 1227 Canyon Way in Wellington from Azozu LLC for $310,000 on Aug. 28.

The 3,990-square-foot house in the Wellington East neighborhood was built in 2004.

Mr. Memberg is an adjunct professor of natural science at Broward Community College.

He holds a B.S. degree in geological sciences from the University of Miami and an M.S. degree in geology from Florida International University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 1,072 home sales in Wellington in 2008, with a median sales price of $286,500.
