IT company CTO buys 2BD in West Palm Beach

Medium 046c22f1a1ab57407b4b5ca29566628c Phillip and Catherine Horvitz bought a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 701 S. Olive Ave. in West Palm Beach from Kolter City Plaza II Inc. for $825,000 on Aug. 25.

The 1,084-square-foot Unit #1019 is part of the 20-story Two City Plaza development, which was built in 2006.

Horvitz is the chief technology officer at Apptis, a provider of IT solutions and services. He is also a member of the company's board of directors. Prior to joining Apptis, he was the chief executive officer, president and chief technology officer of General Data Systems and he worked as a columnist for DG Review magazine.

He has a B.S. in computer science from the University of Maryland.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 2,081 home sales in West Palm Beach in 2008, with a median sales price of $167,750.
