University chair sells 4BD in Jupiter

Medium eb6c2b0c1188e4a2a780d3aa5bb83aaa Dr. Heidi Kirk Duffy sold a four-bedroom, four-bath home at 126 Spyglass Lane in Jupiter to Philip F. Dileo for $1.6 million on Aug. 26.

The 5,470-square-foot house in the Jonathan's Landing/Admiral's Cove neighborhood was built in 1989.

Dr. Duffy serves as chairperson of the advisory board of the international engineering program at the University of Rhode Island. She is also a member of the board of trustees at Providence College and she serves as the co-chair of capital campaign at the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra. She was an advisory board member to the school of languages and linguistics at Georgetown University and she served as assistant to the president at AMTROL Inc.

She attended the Sorbonne and Alliance Francaise in Paris and the Language School in Germany, receiving her translation degrees in German, English and French. She also received an honorary degree from the University of Rhode Island.

According to, there were 1,135 home sales in Jupiter in 2008, with a median sales price of $243,683.
