Detention management company COO lands 5BD

Medium 0e206ada805ce8dd5a3c3f402a49634d Wayne and Rhonda Calabrese bought a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 366 Royal Palm Way in Boca Raton from Maria E. Frender for $850,000 on Sept. 8.

The 3,778-square-foot house in the Boca Raton Eastside neighborhood was built in 1973.

Mr. Calabrese serves as vice chairman, chief operating officer and president of the GEO Group Inc., a company providing corrections and detention management, health, and mental health services to federal, state and local government agencies.

Previously, he served as president and vice president of business development at GEO Care, was a partner at Calabrese, Dobbins and Kepple, was assistant city law director, assistant county prosecutor and chief of the County Bureau of Support for Summit County and he was a legal counsel and director for the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority.

He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Akron and his J.D. from the University of Akron Law School.

According to BlockShopper.com , there were 1,352 sales in Boca Raton in 2008, with a median price of $297,000.
