Financial advisor gets Palmetto Bay 5BD

Medium 0db2a9d1f999feecfdc4cd5a0bc87398 Scott Weingarden and his wife, Melissa, bought a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 14091 S.W. 67th Place in Palmetto Bay from Steven D. Ginsburg and Sharon Crippen for $990,000 on Sept. 16.

Ginsburg and Crippen paid $1.375 million for the property in Feb. 2006. The 5,217-square-foot home in the Cutler neighborhood was built in 1991.

Mr. Weingarden is a financial advisor at the Starner Group, a Coral Gables-based financial advisory firm. He focuses on investment planning, portfolio design and maintenance, and portfolio manager research.

He received a degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Miami.

Ms. Weingarden is the owner of Five Cent Lemonade, a Miami-based retailer of children's furniture and decor as well as jewelry and bags.

Ginsburg is a partner in the commercial litigation practice at the law firm Adorno & Yoss.

He earned his B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Miami and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 235 sales in Palmetto Bay in 2008, with a median sales price of $340,000.
